Massage & Wellbeing

Switch Off. Breathe. Reset.

Massage doesn’t have to wait until everything aches.

Whether you’re carrying tension, feeling tired and overwhelmed, constantly on the go or simply know that you feel better when you make time for yourself, your treatment is your opportunity to stop for a while.

Settle onto the comfortably padded treatment couch, listen to relaxing spa music and allow yourself to completely switch off. A heated blanket is available for those who love to feel warm and cocooned, with towels, blankets, bolsters and additional support used to keep you comfortable throughout.

Every massage is personalised. Pressure can be soothing and gentle or firmer where appropriate, with Swedish massage movements and deeper techniques incorporated according to your preference and the areas that need a little more attention.

The aim is simple: to leave you feeling as though you’ve taken one enormous deep breath — relaxed, recharged and a little more like yourself again.

New to Massage? You're in Safe Hands

Feeling slightly nervous about having a massage is completely normal, particularly if it’s your first one.

You’ll never be expected to undress in front of me. I’ll step away to wash and prepare my hands while you get changed privately, and you’ll simply let me know when you’re comfortably settled on the couch and ready.

Only the area being treated needs to be uncovered, with towels used throughout to maintain your warmth, comfort and modesty.

You don’t need special clothing either. Simply wear something comfortable and easy to change out of and back into. If wearing a bra, a back-clasp style can be a little easier than a sports bra for a back treatment, although I will always work around whatever you’re comfortable with.

Swedish Massage

More than relaxation - Massage that’s tailored to you.

Whether you’re carrying tension through your shoulders, experiencing tight, tired muscles, or simply overdue some proper time to switch off, every massage is adapted to how you’re feeling on the day.

Using traditional flowing Swedish massage movements alongside deeper techniques where appropriate, I adjust the pressure throughout to suit you. Some clients prefer a wonderfully soothing, gentle massage; others enjoy firmer pressure and extra attention around stubborn areas of muscular tension. Most enjoy a combination of both.

Massage can help to ease muscular tension and discomfort, encourage circulation and promote relaxation, while giving both your body and mind an opportunity to slow down and reset.

Your treatment isn’t performed to a rigid routine. If your shoulders have had a particularly hard week, I can spend more time zoning in there. If your legs feel tired and heavy, we can give them some extra attention instead. Your massage should feel like your massage and completely unique to you.

Spa music, soft towels, supportive bolsters and an optional heated blanket complete the experience, allowing you to settle in, get comfortable and simply drift away.

Indian Head Massage

Switch off, slow down and clear your head.

Indian Head Massage is a wonderfully relaxing seated treatment working across the upper back, shoulders, neck and head — areas where everyday stress and tension so often seem to settle.

One of the lovely things about Indian Head Massage is its simplicity — just take a seat and relax. There’s no need to change or remove clothing, making it an easy, comfortable treatment to enjoy at any time.

Using traditional massage movements, gentle pressure-point work and soothing techniques, the treatment helps to ease muscular tension and encourage deep relaxation, while giving your mind some much-needed time to slow down.

There’s something particularly calming about having your head massaged — a little like that part at the hairdresser when you secretly wish they’d carry on for another twenty minutes! Except this time, they do.

The Holistic Side

Indian Head Massage has its roots in the ancient Indian tradition of Ayurveda and is about more than simply working tired muscles. Traditionally, the treatment takes a holistic approach to wellbeing, considering the connection between body, mind and energy.

Chakras are traditionally understood as energy centres within the body. Indian Head Massage focuses particularly around the upper body and head, where several of these energy centres are located, and is traditionally associated with encouraging balance, calm and a sense of harmony.

You don’t need to understand chakras or even be particularly “holistic” to enjoy the treatment — you can simply close your eyes, switch off and enjoy the experience.

Pregnancy Massage

A little time for you both.

Pregnancy can be an incredibly special time, but it can also leave your body feeling tired, heavy and in need of some extra care. Pregnancy massage offers a gentle, nurturing hour to slow down, get comfortable and simply switch off.

Your treatment is adapted around you and your stage of pregnancy, with supportive bolsters and cushions used to help you settle into a comfortable position. Gentle Swedish massage techniques and carefully adjusted pressure can help to ease everyday muscular tension and soothe tired areas, particularly across the back, shoulders and legs.

Comfort is always the priority. You’ll be kept warm and supported with soft towels, bolsters and blankets, with the option of a heated blanket where appropriate, while relaxing spa music helps you drift away.

Whether you’re struggling with the physical demands of pregnancy, feeling tired from disrupted sleep or simply craving an hour where nobody needs anything from you, this is your opportunity to rest, recharge and enjoy some much-needed time for yourself.
